Telugu TV channels are far and few for Telugu people living outside India. By far one of the most popular Telugu Channel is Eenadu TV or short name ETV. This channel was launched in 1995 and to date have possibly the most popular Telugu serials like Hrudayam and Manasu Mamatha.

Interesting thing about ETV is that it originated in Hyderabad and eventually evolved to to 12 regional languages. Now ETV is also in Bengali, Urdu, Kannada, Gujarati, Oriya and Marathi to name some. They also have exclusive 24 hour news channels like ETV2. They in fact were the pioneers of 24 hour TV.

Another popular Telegu channel is Zee Telugu. Zee, unlike ETV, originated from Maharashtra and eventually evolved to a multitude of Northern and Southern channels.

Maa TV was founded in 2002 by Penmetsa Murali Krishnam Raju. The usual competition with these channels is measured by housewives. The magic comparison tool is Serials. Which is the best serial.

Unfortunately you cannot get all 3 channels shown above from one IPTV provider. YuppTV.com have Maa TV while WatchIndia.tv have ETV and Zee Telugu

Cost wise, we find that both providers are just as competitive. Watch India TV provide their propriety set top box while Yupp TV offers the Roku which has to be an additional purchase.

So your decision will be based on what channels you prefer to watch.
